Apple will open their first retail store in Hong Kong later this quarter. The new store will be located in the IFC Mall. It is expected that the store may open as early as Sept 24th and provide the 7 million inhabitants of Hong Kong with their Apple fix.
The Hong Kong store will bring to five the number of Apple Stores in China with two a piece in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.
China has become an increasingly important and growing market for Apple in recent years. Such is the demand for Apple products that many fake Apple Stores have popped up and being exposed in recent months.
It is also anticipated that Apple will open a further store in Shanghai in the coming months.
