Canon has just announced that they have added AirPrint support for their PIXMA wireless all-in-one inkjet photo printers, allowing iOS devices to print wirelessly to their PIXMA MG8220 (Amazon, $299.99), MG6220 (Amazon, $199) and MG5320 (Amazon, 149.99) printer models.
Although AirPrint support was initially limited to certain HP printers, Epson recently announced the addition of AirPrint support to some of their printers, making Canon the third major manufacturer to begin implementing support. There’s also a new Canon website related to AirPrint.
AirPrint support can be added to existing PIXMA printers through a firmware update, and Canon has announced that they’ll be natively adding AirPrint support to all of their future PIXMA printers.
The full press release can be found over at Canon’s website.
