Best Buy Thieves Steal $60,000 in iPads In Under 60 Seconds

Naples News reports that Florida police are currently looking for 3 suspects who stole around $60,000 worth of iPads from a Best Buy store on Monday. The official police report suggests that the trio, who dressed in dark clothing and gloves, were able to complete their heist in just one minute.

The break in occurred at about 4:46 AM, and the crooks were long gone by the time police arrived. In their one minute of fame, the thieves managed to pry open the rear door, grab the iPads, dump between 60 and 90 of them in a large black bin, and exit the store.

What’s more concerning, however, is that as fast as this break-in was, it’s still not the fastest on record – Ohio thieves stole 24 laptops and an iPad from an Apple retailer in just 30 seconds back in May. That brings the term “gone in 60 seconds” to a whole new level. Hat-tip to CultofMac for sharing the story.
