After recently adding movie content to iTunes Stores in several new European nations earlier this week, MacRumors reports that Apple has now notified resellers in seven European countries that the Apple TV will become available to them on Tuesday, October 4th – the same say as Apple’s iPhone media event.
All-new Apple TV Now Available for Order in Seven New Countries
We are delighted to announce the all-new Apple TV, with an enhanced user interface and a breakthrough price point, is now available to order in Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
The Apple TV will help customers in those countries take advantage of their newly available iTunes video content. Countries expected to receive the Apple TV on Tuesday include Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
It’s unclear why Apple picked October 4th to make the Apple TV available in these countries, but it might reasonably be related to Apple’s expected announcement of the release date for iCloud.
