After screwing his investors for billions of dollars through his infamous Ponzi scheme, Bernie Madoff is currently serving a 150-year prison sentence. But his pants aren’t – and CultofMac reports that John Vaccuro wants to use them to make your next iPad case!
Designer John Vaccaro purchased a bunch of Madoff’s old clothes at a public auction, and plans to use them to make iPad cases. Apparently each pair of pants can make four iPad cases.
Vacarro has previously made cases out of one of Christian Dior sweaters, and also out of one of Bergdod Goodman’ cardigans, both of which sold extremely quickly via word of mouth alone.
It may not be as professional as leather or as durable as polycarbonate, but apparently Madoff’s pants are the iPad case fabric of the future! As for me, I’d prefer to keep my iPad away from Madoff’s pants.
