Everyone who’s used a Mac for very many years is likely familiar with the kernel panic – that awful translucent curtain that lowers itself across your screen, instilling fear and dread into even the strongest of Mac-loving souls.
Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be all bad – now you can redirect that awful dread that your Mac might be seriously messed up to any unwitting Mac user by loading this prank app, called iPanic, onto their Mac.
If you are particularly devious, you could even add this evil little app to their startup folder and allow them to tear themselves apart until they figure it out, or you reveal to them that it was just a prank.
Seriously though, this is one of the more evil Mac pranks out there, so if you are discovered using this on your friends and colleagues, they may not want to be your friends and colleagues for that much longer. Just sayin’. You can quit the app by simply using command + Q. The app works on OS X Lion, and you can download it here.
