Banking on the fact that consumers are using their mobile devices for just about everything these days, Siemens has just announced new HomeConnect appliances that allow you to monitor and control all of your appliances using your iPad.
Marketing their solution as a “networked kitchen,” the new line of appliances will allow customers to check their energy usage, remotely turn appliances on and off, and view the contents of their refrigerator in real time.
I love the idea of using the iPad to more fully control and automate the devices I use. Sign me up!
