Report: Apple & Carriers Already Testing A 4G LTE Capable iPhone

An intriguing new report from BGR claims that Apple has already sent 4G LTE-compatible iPhones to carriers for testing.

It’s unclear whether or not 4G LTE will end up in Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5, as this may simply reflect early prototype testing for a future model. Previous reports have suggested that appropriate 4G LTE chips will not be ready in time for the iPhone 5, while contrasting reports have suggested that LTE support will be included, but fail to provide information about the chip that would be used,

At any rate, this should come as good news that Apple is aware of and interested in including 4G LTE technology in a future iPhone model at some point.
