It appears that the Apple newsreel is on a roll today with iPhone 5 part leaks – a third leak has just surfaced today showing what may be the battery and logic board for the iPhone 5, complete with the A5 processor on board!
The folks at AppleLeaks are claiming to show the battery and logic board for the iPhone 5. The battery is manufactured by the same company (ATL Dongguan Amperex Technology Limited) that produced batteries for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and has the same 1430mAh 3.7v rating as the iPhone 4. The battery features a connection interface different from that on previous iPhones.
The logic board, on the other hand, shows many differences, including a different design for the power sensors, headphone jack, and camera module. In comparing the image to the logic boards from AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 units, it seems that the new logic board is most similar to that of the CDMA iPhone 4, with the addition of a SIM card slot.
Additionally, the size of the processor socket found on the new logic board appears to be slightly larger and a bit more rectangular, suggesting that it was designed to be used with Apple’s A5 processor.
