iOS 5 Likely To Arrive In 1st Week Of October

Although it is a natural supposition considering that the iPhone 5 is likely due in early October, TiPb reports that iOS 5 will officially become available to consumers in early October as well.

The news follows our report earlier today that AT&T has confirmed that the iPhone will be released in early October. If true, the report also means that developers likely see a release candidate for iOS 5 a couple of weeks prior.

iOS 5 was originally announced on June 6 at Apple’s 2011 World-Wide Developer Conference. It will feature a host of new features, including a revamped notification system, speed and efficiency improvements, Newsstand, Twitter integration, an updated version of Mobile Safari, a new Reminders app, a new artificial intelligence and voice controll system called Assistant, and much more. Apple highlighted 10 main new features, which you can read about on our original post.
