The masters of satire at The Onion have done it again, issuing a mock-report that Apple CEO Tim Cook has declared that printers are the future of Apple, and that all existing products like the iPhone 5 will be delayed for at least 4 years.
Clearly poking fun at Cook’s former role at HP in his pre-Apple years, the article “quotes” Tim Cook as saying the following:
“Laser, ink-jet, double-sided, color, black-and-white—the future of technology is in printers. I am absolutely convinced of that…What is the one thing people will always need? It’s obvious: printers. Printers with fax machines attached, printers that collate and staple, perhaps a printer that makes photocopies. Anything’s possible. It’s called innovation.”
Thanks, Onion, for never being serious and bringing some much needed humor to a crowd that could really use it at the moment!
