A rather incredible report at ABC News 7 tells the story of a bridesmaid who couldn’t attend her best friend’s wedding in person. Rather than give up, however, Renee Armstrong decided to make an appearance anyway – using an iPad and FaceTime!
Armstrong attended the wedding from over 1000 miles away, walked down the aisle in the arms of a groomsman, and was able to meet and greet the guests at the wedding, and even appeared in the wedding photos, all via the iPad.
Armstrong donned a white dress for the occasion, and was able to see the entire ceremony, according to the bride, Jamie Alberico. Further, even though the iPad was initially dropped, shattering the screen, the Bride happened to be an Apple Store employee, and was able to get the ipad replaced in time, ensuring that Renee would be able to participate.
This is a beautiful story – anyone who still thinks the iPad isn’t changing lives, this is your proof positive to the contrary.
