How Do I Insert A CD Into The iPad 2?

A newly registered poster over at the Apple Support Forums posted a curious question today, as revealed by CultofMac, which resulted in a hilarious stream of responses. The question: “How do I insert a CD into the iPad 2?”

The poster, who apparently recently purchased an iPad 2, claims to seriously be considering returning the device because his CD will not fit inside:

I’m trying to put a cd into the iPad 2 to play a track but the slot underneath the screen won’t allow me. What can I do?

Many interesting replies came in, with people legitimately attempting to explain the situation to the reader, and of course many people making witty remarks about the situation. One reply humorously suggested that he take it back and get a MacBook Air, as “CDs fit better in them.”

The poster, however, never dropped his act, continually suggesting that Apple really needs to release a fix for the problem, and even asked if Apple makes an external CD drive for the iPad.

A number of users try explaining to the poster that the iPad doesn’t play CDs, while many more offer unhelpful but witty responses that only add to the humor of the situation at hand.

While there may be some question about whether the poster was truly genuine in his frustrations, the post nevertheless makes for a humorous and light-hearted read – regardless of the authenticity of the complaint.
