How Apple Cuts Out The Logos On Their Products

Have you ever stayed up late at night pondering mysteries of the universe: Is there a God? What is the meaning of life? How does Apple cut out the Apple logo on their products? I know I have – but wonder no more – a new patent has just made the answer clear.

While Apple’s patents can sometimes provide and exciting glimpse into the future of the company’s products, this patent, on the other hand, simply details the tool that Apple uses to cut their logo into many of their products.

The patent, entitled “Apparatus and Method for Intricate Cuts”, describes the tool that Apple uses for this process – and makes it sound far more complicated than it really needs to be! If the above images aren’t enough for you, feel free to read the entire patent in all it’s glory over at the US Patent Office website.

Well, that’s one mystery of the universe you can stop worrying about. At least is was the most important one of the three, right?
