Guitarist Uses iPhone 4 To Capture Guitar String Vibrations In Action

I am continually impressed by the quality of the iPhone 4’s built-in camera, and the abilities of clever and creative folks to do amazing things with it. A curious guitarist has created a fascinating video showing what guitar strings in motion look like from inside a guitar. Warning: It’s absolutely hypnotic.

The creator of the video, wondering what it was like to view his guitar strings from the other side, affixed his iPhone inside his guitar as he strummed the strings, and as you can see from the below video, the results are simply fascinating.

This is by far one of my favorite iPhone 4 videos, and the casual guitarist inside me got the shivers at the intriguing and mesmerizing way that the movement and vibration of the guitar strings was represented in the video.

The iPhone 4’s rolling shutter made this set of guitar strings far more fascinating than they were before. Personally, I never imagined that my guitar strings were moving, wobbling, or vibrating in such an astoundingly beautiful manner until I saw this video.

What do you think of the video? Sound off in the comments!
