AT&T will be raising the iPhone’s device tier (used to determine the cost of insurance) on October 4th, according to a recent report. Considering how close October 4th is to September, could AT&T have just outed the iPhone 5 release date?
The report comes from some alleged AT&T internal information on the matter, and certain other smartphones will be added to a higher tier on the same day, although the iPhone was the only device mentioned specifically.
While this is certainly not to be taken as a confirmation of any kind, it is extremely interesting, and could potentially reflect inside information that AT&T has in regard to the iPhone 5 launch.
