Despite some difficult sentiments between Adobe and Apple, mostly over Flash support in iOS, Adobe has nevertheless bitten the bullet and released their first Mac App Store app, Photoshop Elements 9 editor, at a price of $80 (Mac App Store Link).
The app is essentially a slightly watered-down version of Adobe’s Photoshop Elements 9, and is mainly intended to supplement and complement iPhoto for when users want to use techniques more advanced than iPhoto typically allows.
There are a few difference between this app and Photoshop Elements 9, such as the lack of Adobe Elements Organizer (which helps manage and organize images), but due to its complementary nature alongside iPhoto, it is unlikely that the omissions will be missed.
Further, just like the full Photoshop Elements release, this version features editing tools such as content-aware fill, Group Shot, Panorama, and Style Match Photomerge. It weights in at 1.02GB and supports Intel Macs running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later. Photoshop Elements 9 Editor is available now ($80, Mac App Store Link)
