Despite initial problems with the supply of the iPad 2, Apple has nevertheless reached a milestone, reaching 25 million units sold in just 14 months – a figure which suggests that Apple is on pace to sell another 8 million tablets this quarter.
Apple announced it’s big milestone at yesterday’s WWDC keynote, which was picked up on by Wall Street analysts. Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities noted that by the end of March, Apple had sold 19.48 million iPads, meaning that must have sold at least 5.52 million iPads in the first two months of the June quarter (Q2).
Keeping that pace would put Apple on track to sell 8.28 million iPads in the June quarter. That’s a number well ahead of the 4.69 million iPads sold in the March quarter, suggesting Apple has managed to address its inventory issues with the hot-selling iPad 2.
