A few days ago, we reported that AT&T was showing zero stock of the black iPhone 4, and today, Verizon’s site is making a scene about promoting “pre-owned” Verizon iPhone 4’s. While a simple look reveals that they still have new iPhone 4’s in stock, still, it’s difficult not to become suspicious.
With both US carriers of the iPhone now having pushed the iPhone 4 out of the limelight in one way or another, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the possiblity that we might hear something about the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 at tomorrow’s keynote.
If the release days is, indeed, going to be soon, it’d be silly to think that the two US carries for the iPhone would be unaware of that fact – is it too much of a stretch to suggest that they are not only ready – they are actively prepping for a new device?
From iPhoneAlley:
After AT&T started acting almost as if iPhone 4 does not exist anymore, a visit to Verizon Wireless’s site reveals that the carrier has made room for other phones on its homepage as well.
It is noteworthy how a discounted “certified pre-owned” iPhone 4 is being featured instead of a brand new offering. Verizon seems more anxious to move pre-owned stock rather than brand new devices that would be returned following an official announcement on Monday.
While this is certainly suspicious, I am still not ready to wager that anything huge will happen in this regard tomorrow at Moscone Center. Your thoughts? Sound off in the comments!
