Japanese blog Macotakara reports that Apple’s new Final Cut Pro X might surface in the Mac App Store next week. The software, which was officially unveiled at NAB in Las Vegas in April, has already been leaked, is expected to be the most significant upgrade ever to Final Cut, and will sell for $299.
Apple has completely redesigned Final Cut from the ground up, and it’s now a purely 64-bit application, uses the CPU more efficiently, and allows users to edit video while its being imported. There hasn’t been any official mention of the other apps in the Final Cut Pro suite, such as Color or Motion. You can read more details on Final Cut Pro X in our report of Apple’s unveiling.
