Facebook Said To Be Working On iPad App

The Facebook iPhone app is one of the most popular iPhone apps ever to be released while third party Facebook iPad apps regularly sit on top of the best seller lists in the App Store. It finally looks like the ball has dropped with Facebook and they’re about to release an official Facebook for iPad app.

According to a report on Apple Insider, the iPad app will be arriving in the “coming weeks” and it is currently in the “final stages of testing”. It is said that Facebook first began developing the iPad app almost a year ago with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg working closely with the development of the app.

The app is said to be optimized for multi-touch gestures, Facebook chat, and Facebook groups. Users of the app will be able to shoot video and take photos and upload them to share with their friends.

It is also rumored that Facebook is working hard on an HTML 5 web app that will give users an improved browsing experience in Mobile Safari.
