MobileMe Has Died. Long Live MobileMe. In the wake of iCloud, Apple is refunding customers who recently paid to upgrade their MobileMe accounts.
A TUAW reader who set his MobileMe account to automatically renew (which occurred this week) saw the $99 charge drop out of his account, only to have it return back to his checking account later – a nice thing of Apple to do now that iCloud has replaced MobileMe and become free.
e storage – will be free. By refunding MobileMe subscriptions in the run up to WWDC, Apple is certainly indicating that there will be big changes to the service later on today.
