For $80, you can turn your iPad into car entertainment system with the CoolVue mounting bracket.
The bracket attaches to the car seat’s headrest and allows you to rotate the iPad to landscape or portrait mode and even extend the arm towards the middle of the car to share the screen with others. From the photographs I see a potential design flaw by forcing the passenger to leave his headrest raised, but overall this looks like a compelling solution.
The CoolVue for iPad 2 started shipping today for availability in 2 weeks. We’ll see if we can get one for a hands-on review.
