Skype’s telephone service is currently suffering a major outage.
Accessing the Skype.com homepage brings up a message that states:
Hi, our server has taken a short break
Looks like our server is down. This usually means that we’re doing maintenance work or there are too many visitors at skype.com and we cannot cope with the popularity. In any case — we’re already fixing it and everything should be back to normal in a few minutes.
Skype was recently acquired by Microsoft for $8.5 billion. So, MS buy a good product and then it explodes a week later? Interesting!
