A new case has surfaced with the iPhone 4 with a really unique feature – a removable battery pack! The case, by itself, is slim and light, and when you need extra power, you can simply attach the battery pack, which latches securely to the case.
You can also chain multiple battery packs together so that they all charge at once, and then can simply use them as their needed. The new case, from Third Rail Mobility, is available for $90, and includes the slim case and one battery back. Individual battery backs go for $60, and a replacement of just the case goes for just $40.
Additionally, the battery can power other electronic devices through a built-in MicroUSB port, so it can be used as a stand-alone portable battery back as well.
The idea is clearly genius – the only question that linger for me is…why did this take so long?
