Need a Last Minute Gift for Mom on Mother’s Day? There’s An App For That

Apple has a special section for Mother’s Day on the App Store. So why not give one of these cool apps to Mom today in lieu of flowers. Here’s a sampling:

Send a Mom a card using Build-a-Card. You can email it, or even it post it to Twitter or Facebook if your mom is geeky enough for that sort of thing.

This looks really cool: The Going to Bed Book for iPad by popular board book author Sandra Boynton. It received App of the Week on iTunes and offers the interactivity of a pop-up book.

Get Baby Connect for iPad so your new or expecting Mom can track, log, and share your baby’s activities and growth. They claim to be “the only app that allows you to exchange information in real time with your spouse, babysitter, nanny or daycare.”

James Britton

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
