A lot of people are not hardcore gamers; we just simply do not have the patience, the skill and quite honestly we lack effort. However over the last few years’ iOS has offered a starting point for casual gamers. Little quirky games like Cut the Rope, Angry Birds and Peggle have shown people that gaming can be fun, effortless and addicting.
Below I will be demonstrating some of the greatest time wasters responsible for worldwide procrastination. All available for iOS.
Game Development Story
Game Development Story is a business simulation game that will have you hooked the very second you begin playing. Its simplistic way of running a gaming company will provide you with endless hours of fun. You have to manage staff, attend gaming conferences, create chart-topping games and train your staff up to the best of their ability.
The graphics in this game will remind you of some of the retro consoles, giving a nice, nostalgic feel to the game.
Overall I feel that this game has been well thought through, beautifully presented and wastes time extremely efficiently.

Peggle
For experienced casual gamers, Peggle will not be unfamiliar to you. Its beautiful artwork, lively music and unique gameplay all blend together to create an incredible experience for any age group.
The main objective of the game is to clear all of the orange ‘pegs’ from the board. To do this the player must propel a ball from the top of the screen and attempt to hit the orange pegs. Once all of the orange pegs have been cleared from the area, a choir will congratulate you by singing ‘Ode to Joy’ and fireworks will go off. Does it make you feel like a God? Yes it does.
Peggle is a gaming classic. It’s brilliant blend of ingredients make this game an addictive masterpiece.

Cut The Rope
Cut the Rope is an adorable puzzle/physics game available for iPhone and iPad. It’s a wonderfully crafted time waster which although has simplistic objectives can be frustratingly challenging.
The objective of the game is to feed ‘Om Nom’ – a little green monster – a piece of candy attached to a rope. To do this you must, as the title suggests, cut the rope in a certain way so that the candy, falls, floats or fires into Om Nom’s mouth.
Cut the Rope is a puzzle game, so this game will not be entertaining without some thinking on your part, however if you get really stuck you can always skip the level, or look up a walkthrough.
Overall Cut the Rope is an extremely cute little game which will turn the most experienced puzzle gamers into sobbing children.

Fruit Ninja
The idea of Fruit Ninja is to slice fruit in combos, styles and a bunch of other inventive ways. You get power up fruits that give you the ability to slow down time, or send in a tidal wave of fruit.
You have a certain amount of time to slice as much fruit as possible. Once the time is up your score is counted and you can upload it to the online leaderboards to see how well you’ve done.
In conclusion, Fruit Ninja is a beautifully crafted game that will provide hours of fun for any age group.

Angry Birds
We couldn’t escape putting it somewhere on here. Angry Birds is quite possibly the biggest iOS franchise in existence. It’s easy to learn game play, it’s brilliant theme song and it’s brilliant characters all blend seamlessly to create a unique masterpiece.
The goal of Angry Birds is very simple, you must catapult a certain bird towards a structure in order to destroy little green pigs. You can do this with a variety of different birds, for example; Blue birds split up into three’s, Black birds explode and yellow birds speed up and cut through wood.
The game itself is very simple, but it’s the simplistic style to it that makes it such an incredible game. A must have for any iOS device.
