According to BGR, Apple isn’t wasting any time fixing the infamous iOS location tracking issue. They have reportedly received information indicating that iOS 4.3.3 will address the matter, and will be available within the next two weeks.
They claim to have been sent the update, but haven’t loaded it on their devices as of yet, and they say that it will address the following:
The update will no longer back up the location database to iTunes.
The size of the location database will be reduced.
The location database will be deleted entirely when Location Services are turned off.
Battery life improvements.
iPod bug fixes.
That’s it on this matter for the moment. If this issue is one that concerns you greatly, this should come as good news!
