Apple Slows Down iPhone 4 Shipments In Preparation For New iPhone Release

Apple has reportedly dropped their planned shipment volume from 20 million units to 17.5 / 18 million units for the second quarter. That’s according to a recent report from DigiTimes that speculates the reduction in shipment volumes is part of Apple’s preparation for the next generation of iPhone, dubbed the 4S or the more conventionally named iPhone 5.

The report from DigiTimes also mentions the inclusion of an 8 megapixel camera developed by OmniVision & Largan Percision.

It is expected that production will start in August with the earliest launch coming in September.
