Toshiba recently unveiled a new line of SmartNANT flash memory that will support flash chips up to 64GB in size. Using a 24-nanometer process, the new design is more space and energy efficient, and has an improved memory controller. A 64GB chip, if adopted by Apple, could mean a 64GB iPhone 5, or 128GB iPod Touches and iPads.
If Apple did adopt these new flash memory chips, would you use the space? Sound off in the comments!
