Apple’s cloud strategy is certainly coming together nicely and they have a job for you on their team if you’re up to the task. But they can’t seem to keep the job title straight.
AppleInsider noticed a job posting at Apple that advertises for “Cloud Systems Software Engineer.” However, when I checked the listing the title for the same Requisition Number changed to “Web Services Software Engineer.” Why did they change it?
The job description invites applicants to “consider joining a small team writing the software which forms the foundation for some of our most exciting new products and services.” Clearly, they are putting together something big but maybe Apple wants to get a way from the term cloud.
I think it is clear we will see a re-vamp of MobileMe and iTunes online services so that we will finally be able to cut the cord. The question is, when?
