Dropbox today released a massive update of their iPad app. Version 1.4 has introduced many new features, including:
- upload many photos videos from your camera roll within Dropbox
- choose what app to open files within your Dropbox
- better navigation system than previous version

While the inclusion of the upload feature is a very welcome addition, it’s far from perfect. I navigated to my images folder within the app and hit upload and uploaded two photos from my library. I expecte the images to appear within my images folder as that was the folder to which I navigated. However, the images were uploaded to the root of my Dropbox. When you’re about to upload a document, you need to declare the destination for the upload. It doesn’t upload to the currently active folder by default.
That’s a quirk that I would prefer to be able to customize.
