50% Of Apple’s Revenue Comes From iPhone Sales

Last week Apple announced sales of $24.6 billion dollars for the three month period of December 26th to March 26th. That is impressive in itself. What’s more impressive is a “computer company” generating 50% of its revenue from a phone.

Apple sold 18.65 million iPhones during the last quarter resulting in roughly $12.3 billion dollars in revenue. This means that nearly half of their revenue comes from one device, the iPhone. And that figure doesn’t include App sales from iTunes.

The $12.3 billion figure is made up of iPhone sales, carrier agreements, services, and Apple-branded / third party iPhone accessories.
