The 32GB model of the iPad is the most popular choice for consumers. That is according to a recent survey from RBC Capital Markets. The 32GB model accounted for 33% of all responses with the 32GB Wi-Fi only model edging out its 3G counterpart by a considerable 5% overall margin.
Nearly 1 in every 5 purchased a 32GB WiFi iPad 2 while nearly 1 in every 7 purchased a 3G 32GB iPad 2.
This is a massive shift from the purchasing behavior of the iPad 1 where the most popular choice was the entry level 16GB WiFi model. In fact, the 16GB iPad 2 model is now the least sought after model with a 21% total share while the 64GB model holds 28% share.
