Tuesday saw the NY Times emailing some long term subscribers with an option to take up their offer .
March 28th will see the errection of the paywall with readers presented with three options. The cheapest coming in at $15 every four weeks for access to the web and mobile site. Other packages include $20 for web access and iPad access, or $35 every four weeks for complete access. If you were to pay for a years access, the charge would range between $195, $260, and $455 for the three packages.
However, the paywall doesn’t look too sturdy. A report in the Nieman Journalism Lab tells of how you can bypass the paywall by using a simple hack. In fact, the hack is a mere 4 lines of code! The hack will bypass the 20 article limit imposed by the paywall.
