I guess the ticket price of $1,599 wasn’t enough to deter enthusiastic developers from attending WWDC! In total there was approximately 5,000 tickets available for WWDC.
So… $1,599 * 5,000 = $7,995,000
(Memo to self: host events)
Apple’s developer-centric event takes place between the 6th and 10th of June in San Francisco and will focus on the future of iOS and Mac OS X.
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) showcases the latest innovations and the newest technologies in iOS and Mac OS X. Over 1,000 Apple engineers guide you through five exciting days of in-depth technical sessions and hands-on labs that demonstrate how to harness the incredible power of the world’s most advanced operating systems into your apps.
The event is expected to be solely software focused which means there will be little to be said about the iPhone 5 and their like.
Just to be clear on the $8 million fee… I expect there to have been a few hundred invites comped, but still. Woozer!
