According to the Wall Street Journal, the iPad 2 has already begun mass production. The Journal cites people “familiar with the matter” and claims that the iPad 2 will be thinner, lighter, have a faster processor, more memory, a better graphics processor, a front-facing camera, the same screen resolution as the original iPad, and dual-mode wireless through both AT&T and Verizon.
None of these claims are new (except of course for the production rumor), and most of them are fairly obvious for any device of a newer generation than the current device. Nevertheless, let’s hope that WSJ is right, and that we’ll be able to wrap our palms around these bad boys in no time flat.
