According to Engadget (via MacRumors, fscklog, and Mac4Ever), Light Peak will likely be coming to MacBook Pro’s on Thursday, branded as ThunderBold I/O. This information is derived from a supposedly leaked specification printout for the new 13″ MacBook Pro, as well as a picture of the port on a 13″ chassis. This is in addition to an Intel press conference being held on Thursday, purportedly to announce Light Peak. The information at hand shows one Light Peak interface alongside the standard ports. Light Peak could spell an exciting new chapter for Apple, being the most diverse and fastest input method offered ever in a consumer computer so far.
