It’s already Thursday in Australia, and Apple Pay has gone live in the land down under. As in Canada, where the service went live earlier this week, the payments service is currently limited to American Express customers.
Apple is currently in talks to expand the service to more banks and their cardholders in the near future in both countries. Apple Pay will also be available for store cards and loyalty cards for Australian users.
Apple has also expanded in the United Kingdom, gaining support for Tesco and TSB. It has also been announced that Apple Pay is expanding to apps such as Kickstarter, and the Fancy, while it is also soon to be accepted at Domino’s and Cinnabon.
In addition to Canada and Australia, Apple is also partnering with American Express to expand to Asia and more European regions in 2016.
