iWork for iCloud Now Available to Users of Non-Apple Devices

Apple has now opened up the browser-based iWork for iCloud productivity suite on beta.icloud.com to anyone with an Apple ID, no matter what system they run.

AppleInsider:

Thanks to a new link allowing users to create an Apple ID, users on non-Apple hardware, including Windows and Android machines, can now register an account. Previously, users could only create an Apple ID login on Apple hardware, like a Mac, iPhone or iPad.

Users will be able to access the iCloud.com productivity suite which consists of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

Users will need to visit beta.icloud.com and click the link below the sign-in section to create an account. There is currently also a banner advertising the new policy at the top of the login page that you can also click. (As seen above.) If you already have an Apple ID, you can login with it.

Users can access the Beta iCloud site, and the iWork suite, via any modern browser, including Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for Windows.

Users who access the site without being on Apple hardware will only have access to the iWork apps, and the Settings icon.

Apple supplies users from other operating systems 1GB of free online storage to save their iWork documents.
