Rovio has announced the details of its latest game in the Angry Birds series, and it is literally “Epic”. The new game, “Angry Birds Epic,” is a definite departure from the Angry Birds titles we’ve seen before, as it is a turn based role playing game (RPG).
The game will feature turn-based combat and a crafting system — players can craft armor, potions and weapons. This item system will apparently be funded through a game currency, or via in-app purchases.
The game will be launching in Australia and Canada this week, in what Rovio boasts is “The most EPIC soft launch ever!” The game will roll out in more countries soon after.
