Apple Begins Taking Orders for All-New Mac Pro – Base Configuration Shipping Date Slips to February

Apple has kicked-off sales online for its all-new Mac Pro. Although earlier today orders of the base configuration of the highly anticipated computer were reportedly showing shipping dates of December 30th, they are now showing shipping dates of “February”.

The highly-anticipated machines have already seen availability of the two base configurations slip from December 30th to February, as seen in the image above.

The Mac Pro base configuration is available with a 3.7 GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz, dual AMD FirePro D300 GPUs with 2GB of VRAM each, 12GB of memory, and 256GB of PCIe-based flash storage starting at $2,999 (USD).

A second stock configuration is available with a 3.5 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz, dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs with 3GB of VRAM each, 16GB of memory, and 256GB of PCIe-based flash storage starting at $3,999 (USD).

Build-to-Order models are also available, and options include faster processors, up to 64GB of RAM, up to 1TB of PCIe-based flash storage, and AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of VRAM.
