Apple’s iTunes Ping service will no longer respond to said “pings” come September 30th.
Ping was Apple’s foray into a music-oriented social networking/recommendation system built into iTunes. The service is/was accessible from your computer or iOS device.
If you’re one of the three people who still use Ping, (and shame on you!), you’ll get the short, and not so sweet message shown in the screenshot above when you access it.
Oh Ping, we hardly knew ye! No, seriously. I think I went there like, twice.
