We’ve been hearing reports that the next-geniPhone is in its final testing stages, and is now in the pockets of high-level Apple and carries executives. Further, 9to5Mac reports that, which 3G FaceTime may be on the way, it won’t be coming to new Verizon iPhones.
Currently, the next-gen iPhone is expected to be released in September, but Apple and Verizon reportedly have yet to strike a deal of any kind regarding the usage of FaceTime on 3G networks.
While it’s possible that the two companies are still working out certain kinks regarding new features in the iOS 5, such as cloud syncing of some content and over-the-air updates, it’s equally possible that carrier support for FaceTime over 3G simply won’t exist with Verizon, at least this year.
