Apple To Launch Apple HDTV In 2011 – Report

Apple HDTV
Apple could soon be launching an attack on the $100 billion LCD TV Market with the introduction of an internet-connect-HD-TV as early as late 2011. That’s according to Brian White, an analyst with Ticonderoga Securities, who claims to have picked up on “data points” within China that point towards an Apple Television launch.

It has long been touted that Apple would make the move into producing a “Mac TV” since they are already so well invested and dug in with Apple TV and iTunes. But now White claims that Apple is “moving down this pace at a faster pace than the market expected.”

According to Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, a “Mac TV” could hit the shops with a price tag starting at $2,000 and could feature a TV on demand subscription service through iTunes.

How likely is an Apple HDTV? It’s not far off to expect Apple to eventually come into the TV market but to do it before the end of 2011 is a bit far fetched in our opinion.
