It took nearly a year, but the wait is finally over. Run over to the Apple.com homepage and be prepared for your jaw to drop. No, it’s not a unicorn, it’s even better…… it’s a white iPhone 4!
Some thought this day would never happen but here we are on Wednesday 27th of April, a year later, looking at the same device that was released back in June 2010, but now in white.
Apple never came out to say why it has taken nearly a year to release a white version of the iPhone 4, instead opting to saying it has “proven more challenging to manufacture than expected”. Hard to believe that taking the same phone and making it white could prove to be so troublesome. But what do we know?
You will be able to purchase a white iPhone 4 from tomorrow onwards in the US from Apple retail stores, AT&T, Verizon, and Apple Authorized Resellers. The 16GB model will retail for $199, and the 32GB model for $299.
In Europe, the white iPhone 4 made an early appearance yesterday in the UK and Belgium. This was probably down to a lack of communication of the release date or overzealous retailers prematurely pulling the trigger.
So, who is getting a white iPhone 4?
